Austin Marathon
About the Austin Marathon print
The Austin Marathon begins and ends on Congress Avenue. It starts at 2nd Street and finishes near the Texas State Capitol at 9th and Congress, so the course sets off from and returns to one of the city's best-known streets. Between those points it passes South Congress, known as SoCo, and the University of Texas campus and tower.
The race was founded in 1992, and the 2026 edition was run on 15 February. Our trace records about 230 m of climbing over the full distance. On a route poster, a course that starts on one avenue and ends a few blocks further up it makes a satisfying shape, with the miles in between filling the frame.
The finish near the Capitol marks the end of a long day on the streets of Austin. Add your race date and finish time, and the print becomes your own record of the race, from the first steps on Congress Avenue to the last ones near the Capitol, and every mile through South Congress and the campus in between.
Give your Austin finish a place at home.
Personalise the route with your title, race date and finish time.
