About the Berlin Marathon print
The Berlin Marathon course starts and finishes near the Brandenburg Gate, and since 30 September 1990 runners have passed through the Gate itself. Our GPX trace of the 2026 course shows about 30 m of climbing over the full distance, so the line on your poster traces a long, largely flat loop through the city.
Few races carry this much history. The marathon world record has been broken in Berlin on thirteen occasions, including Kipchoge's 2:01:09 in 2022 and Assefa's 2:11:53 in 2023. Held on the last weekend of September since 1974, the race counted 54,154 finishers in 2024. Your own name belongs among them, and your race date and finish time turn this loop into a record of your 26.2 miles.
