About the Brooklyn Half Marathon print
The Brooklyn Half Marathon has one of the clearest shapes of any city half. It begins with a loop of Prospect Park, then heads south for about 5.5 flat miles on Ocean Parkway towards the sea. On a route poster that gives a tight knot of park running followed by a long, straight line down to Coney Island.
The finish is on the Coney Island Boardwalk at W 10th St, and the last 200 m are run on the boardwalk's wooden surface. Founded in 1983 and organised by New York Road Runners, the race has been the largest half marathon in the US by participation since 2023, with more than 30,000 runners.
With about 40 m of climbing on our trace, this is a largely flat course, but 13.1 miles is still 13.1 miles. Add your race date and finish time, and the print keeps your whole run in view, from the first loop of the park to those final strides on the boardwalk's wooden surface.
