About the Manitou Incline print
The Manitou Incline climbs the line of an old funicular railway up the side of Rocky Mountain, above Manitou Springs at the foot of Pikes Peak. The railway was built in 1907, and when it closed, its tracks were left as about 2,700 steps.
The steps gain about 2,000 ft in less than a mile, with stretches as steep as 68%. Most people walk down by Barr Trail. The Incline needs a free reservation. The ready-made route runs one way, from the bottom to the top. Add the date of your climb, and the print keeps your own way up the Incline.
