About the Gosport Half Marathon print
The Gosport Half Marathon is Gosport Road Runners' November half and a fixture in the Hampshire Road Race League. Race HQ is at Bay House Sports Centre, and the start is close by on Browndown Road. From there the course heads west along the Solent shore to Lee-on-the-Solent, runs to the far end of its seafront and turns for home.
Runners do that twice, so the print shows the two laps traced side by side along the coast. The course stays within about 10 m of sea level, with the Solent alongside and the Isle of Wight across the water, so it is a course for a fast time when the wind allows. Add your race date and finish time, and the print becomes a record of your own 13.1 miles by the sea.
