About the Old Man of Storr print
The Old Man of Storr is a pinnacle of rock about 50 m tall, standing below the cliffs of the Storr on the Trotternish peninsula of Skye. The path starts at the car park beside the road north of Portree and climbs through what was once a forestry plantation onto the open hillside.
Higher up, the path reaches the Sanctuary, the jumble of rock towers at the foot of the cliffs, with views over the Sound of Raasay to the mainland. It is about 1.9 km each way. The ready-made route runs one way, from the car park to the pinnacle. Add the date of your walk, and the print keeps your own visit to the Storr.
