All questionsHow long is the Half Dome hike via the Mist Trail?
About 7 miles (11.2 km) each way from Happy Isles, with around 4,800 feet of climbing, according to the National Park Service.
Do I need a permit to climb Half Dome?
Yes, for the cables on the last climb. The National Park Service issues Half Dome permits by lottery.
Does the route go past Vernal Fall and Nevada Fall?
Yes. The Mist Trail climbs beside both waterfalls before the route carries on through Little Yosemite Valley to Half Dome.
Can I include the name of the trail and its elevation?

Which course will my print use?

What sizes can I choose?

About the Half Dome print
The Mist Trail is the classic way to Half Dome in Yosemite National Park. From Happy Isles in Yosemite Valley it climbs beside the Merced River, up granite steps past Vernal Fall and Nevada Fall, often through the spray that gives the trail its name.
Above the falls the route crosses Little Yosemite Valley and climbs through the forest to the subdome, then up the steel cables to the summit at 8,839 feet. It is a long, hard day, and a permit is needed for the cables. The ready-made route runs one way, from the valley to the summit. Add the date of your hike, and the print keeps your own climb of Half Dome.
