About the Badwater 135 print
The Badwater 135 starts at Badwater Basin in Death Valley, at 282 ft below sea level the lowest point in North America. The course runs north across the valley floor to Furnace Creek and Stovepipe Wells, then climbs over the Panamint Range and drops to Panamint Springs.
From there it crosses the Owens Valley to Lone Pine and climbs the Whitney Portal Road to the finish at 8,360 ft, below Mount Whitney. Held each July, it covers 135 miles with about 14,600 ft of climbing, and runners have 48 hours. Add your race date and finish time, and the print keeps your own crossing of Death Valley.
