About the Skyline Trail print
The Skyline Trail in Jasper National Park runs 44.1 km from Maligne Lake to the Maligne Canyon side of the valley, and much of it is above the treeline. From the lake the trail climbs past Little Shovel Pass and Snowbowl to Big Shovel Pass, along the high ridges of the Maligne Range.
The highest point is the Notch, at about 2,510 m, before the long walk along the ridge to Signal Mountain and the descent towards Jasper. Most walkers take two or three days, camping in the backcountry campgrounds, which need a permit from Parks Canada. Add the dates of your walk, and the print keeps your own journey along the Skyline.
