It starts on Broad Street downtown and finishes near the riverfront, at the end of a downhill final stretch through downtown.
Does the Richmond Marathon cross the James River?
Yes, twice. The course crosses south on the Huguenot Bridge and comes back north on the Lee Bridge.
Why is it called America's Friendliest Marathon?
That is the race's own name for itself, earned by the crowds, bands and spirit groups along the course.
Can I include my race date and finish time?

Which course will my print use?
The ready-made route is the 2026 course. For a different year or the exact activity you recorded, use your own Strava activity or GPX.
What sizes can I choose?
Choose 30 × 40 cm (about 12 × 16 in) or 50 × 70 cm (about 20 × 28 in). Both are printed on 200gsm premium matte paper.
Is a frame included?
You can add a ready-to-hang wooden frame in black, white, natural or dark wood when you order. It arrives with the print already fitted. Or order the print on its own to frame it yourself.

About the Richmond Marathon print
The Richmond Marathon starts on Broad Street downtown and heads west along Monument Avenue and through the West End. It crosses the James River on the Huguenot Bridge, follows Riverside Drive along the south bank and runs through Forest Hill and Manchester, before coming back over the river on the Lee Bridge.
The second half runs through the Fan on Main Street, north on Arthur Ashe Boulevard and through Ginter Park and Northside, then returns downtown for the long downhill finish towards the riverfront. Known as America's Friendliest Marathon, it is run each November. Add your race date and finish time, and the print becomes a record of your own 26.2 miles around Richmond.
